Concept
The basis of an impressive interface is a good interaction concept.
In contrast to the graphic interfaces of well-known consumer devices, there are special requirements in the vehicle with regard to the mental strain and quality demands of the driver. Consequently, the interaction between the display and control components must be fluid and attract as little attention as possible.
The employees in the Berlin creative office have years of experience in dealing with a wide variety of input modalities and operating concepts. With their support, MMI solutions are developed at our customers’ premises, which are presented internationally and set standards.
Design, 2D and 3D
In a vehicle, structure and clarity are of particular importance. We achieve this by having a good eye for design and typography. Our many years of experience with display controls and their use in usability tests helps us to achieve this. In addition, the technical department enables us to evaluate on original displays and in real vehicle environments as early as the design phase.
Good design is timeless, but current techniques such as virtual reality and 3D game engines extend our possibilities to design optimally and future-oriented.
GUI Programming
Our speciality are interactive prototypes and demonstrators. In order to technically implement the valuable design, we use current tools for programming on the common platforms and have developed our own software frameworks for the graphical user interfaces. In doing so, we always keep an eye on the connection to the vehicle technology and implement appropriate interfaces in cooperation with our Engineering department.
2D and 3D maps
The road map is an important element in the vehicle. Therefore, the design of the maps plays a major role in the development of innovative display and operating concepts – whether it is a realistic environment model of the driving situation or futuristic scenarios for future visions.
